A: All Mon Vert Candles are made with 100% pure beeswax, organic extra virgin coconut oil and a cotton/hemp wick. All beeswax comes from small farms on the east coast.
A: Bloom is a naturally occurring white film that develops on the surface of beeswax candles over time. It is a sign of high quality and purity of the beeswax used in candle. It is completely harmless and does not affect the candles’ performance. Bloom can easily be removed by using a soft cloth and gently rubbing it off. A: Mon Vert candles are 100% synthetic-free. This means there are no dyes, colorants, fragrance oils or essential oils. We believe if beeswax and a cotton/hemp wick was good enough back in the old days, it is still good enough now. Beeswax comes in various colors and shades, and we appreciate the beauty.
Fragrance oils have been scientifically proven to be harmful to your health. Unfortunately, fragrance oils are found in most things made today. Fragrance oils are made up of chemicals, even the purest ones. There is no such thing as “natural fragrance”. All fragrances are man-made and emit harmful compounds when burned contributing to pollution, poor indoor air quality and may exacerbate respiratory issues, headaches and dizziness in some individuals. Essential oils are highly flammable and increase the risk of burning too quickly and catching fire. Essential oils when heated, can release volatile organic compounds and potentially harmful chemicals, and oxidize making them highly toxic. This can lead to poor air quality and health risks for humans and pets. It is because of these reasons that we refrain from all synthetics
A: All products are packaged in reusable, zero-waste packaging. Some products are eligible for refills. None of Mon Vert Candles come with brand labeling, making it easier to reuse and upcycle jars, bags and boxes.
All packages ship plastic-free. I use kraft boxes, kraft crinkle paper and kraft tape to secure the package. The shipping label is printed on kraft paper. Please recycle and reuse what you can.
A: Before burning a candle, trim the wick to 1/4in. To avoid tunneling of wax, ensure that the wax pool reaches the edge of jar each time you burn the candle. Limit each burning session to a maximum of 4 hours, and cease burning when only 1/2in of wick remains. Place candle away from fans, open windows, drafts, hot surfaces, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a candle lit unattended. Never use water to put out a flame. Gently blow or use a wick dipper.
A: If you are looking to wholesale or looking for a custom order, please contact us via email. I wholesale all products except Honey Pot Candles. However, all products can be made for custom orders.
A: I currently offer shipping within the U.S. I ship USPS ground unless otherwise requested. All packages are shipped within a 1-3 day period. Once the package is dropped off at USPS it is no longer in my control. I am not responsible for lost, missing or broken packages.
A: I do not accept returns. If there is a problem with your order please email me with clear pictures, a description of what is wrong and leave your contact information. I will always do my best to resolve any issues that may arise.
I do not offer refunds. However, I can offer store credit or a replacement.
